形態特徵

Creeping base of stem often short, 3-5 cm long, rarely longer, erect stem leafy, up to 20 cm tall, 3-4 mm in diam.
Leaves often 3-5, rarely more, obliquely ovate, 5-12 cm long, 3-5 cm wide, apex acute, base obtuse or rounded, with 3 main veins, main veins sunken on upper surface, raised on lower surface.
Scape 10-25 cm tall, shortly pubescent, with 3-7 bract-like scales, scales 1-1.8 cm long, pubescent; rachis up to 12 cm long; floral bracts 1 cm long, pubescent. Flowers 10-30, resupinate; ovary pubescent; sepals pubescent abaxially, brown with white apex, dorsal one erect, oblong, 4.5-5.5 mm long, lateral ones obliquely ovate, 4.8-5.7 mm long, spreading; petals reddish brown, obliquely oblanceolate, 5 mm long, appressed to dorsal sepal forming a hood; lip with a white blade and a brown or yellowish brown spur, blade 3-lobed, lateral lobes low and erect, middle lobe deltoid-ovate, recurved, white, spur cylindrical, 5-6 mm long, shallowly cleft at apex, glabrous inside; column erect, 3.5-3.7 mm long; anther subequal in length to rostellum, ovate, 2.5 mm long; pollinia clavate, with hair-like processes at tapered end, massulae granular; stigma ventral, nearly orbicular; rostellum erect, with 2 slender acute lobes; viscidium narrowly elliptic, less than 0.5 mm long.

分布

台灣 : common in forests at 500-1,500 m.
世界 : Southern China, India, Thailand, Myanmar, Vietnam and Sri Lanca.
